1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using the OpenTranslate service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Use of Service
OpenTranslate may be used for lawful translation purposes only. You agree not to: • Submit content that violates applicable laws • Attempt to circumvent rate limits or abuse the API • Reverse engineer or exploit the system • Use the service to generate harmful, abusive, or illegal content
3. API Keys and Developer Access
API keys are personal credentials and must not be shared publicly. You are responsible for all activity performed using your API keys. Keys may be revoked at any time by administrators for policy violations. Each user may hold up to 10 active API keys.
4. Rate Limits
The service enforces rate limits based on user role. Administrators may adjust limits. Exceeding rate limits may result in temporary suspension.
5. Availability
OpenTranslate is provided "as is" without guarantees of uptime or accuracy. Translation quality depends on the underlying engine and language pair. Self-hosted deployments are the operator's responsibility.
6. Termination
Administrators may suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from the settings page.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for translation errors, data loss, or any damages arising from use of the service.
8. Open Source License
OpenTranslate is MIT licensed. The license applies to the source code. Operators of self-hosted deployments must comply with the MIT license.
